Captain Jack Sticks Up For Marbury

Published by basketballpeon at 10:57 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Stephen Jackson of the Golden State Warriors has commented recently that Marbury would be missed in New York.  He said that despite his remarkable pay, Marbury can produce equivalent (if not better) point play.  He claims that if New York lets him go, and makes it to the playoffs, that they will sorely miss his experience.  Jackson even said that if Marbury were not a Knick, the Warriors could really benefit from signing him.

Look at Marbury’s history, wherever he has gone, he’s fit in (kind of) for a year or two and then disrupts the locker room, fights with star players, and argues with higher ups.  I haven’t seen any sign of Marbury maturing, or straying away from that diva mentality.  Sure he did some training in the mountains, but its done little to help his fractured ego.  He’s made apology after apology, recantment of behavior after recantment after behavior, vows to change after vows to change and look where we are.  He contributed to one of the most corrupt, unmanageable teams in basketball history. This man needs to get back to his roots and discover what a blessing his life is, and how lucky he is to be able to make that kind of money playing ball.
